Why should your community association turn to North Law, P.C. as its legal counsel and trusted advisor? We focus on community association law, and we do it well. Here’s what that means for you:
- We are problem-solvers (and problem-preventers) who will help you make decisions, explain those decisions to your members, and, when necessary, defend those decisions.
- We know the legal as well as the practical side of day-to-day association operations and governance that involve collections, contracts, deed restriction compliance and lawsuits.
- We make life easier and less stressful for board members and managers because we focus on reducing and eliminating problems.
We recognize that community associations are, by their very nature, organizations which must exist and perform within the constraints of a limited annual budget. Yet, because the accomplishment of a legal objective can, at times, require a period of time before a final resolution is affected, a problem can arise if an association is required to pay for the legal services before the result is obtained. In an effort to address this concern, under some of our billing arrangements, we allow you to postpone your payment of the legal fees invoiced until payments are made by the individual responsible for the debt. Here’s what that means to you:
- The delay in performing a legal task that you may have experienced in the past should be reduced, and the likelihood that your objective is accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner is enhanced.
- In most instances, you are not required to pay for the legal fees invoiced by North Law, P.C. in collecting outstanding maintenance assessments until payment is collected from the debtor.
- Your community’s operating funds are not depleted by upfront legal costs; but, rather, payment of the legal costs is more closely aligned to when you receive money from the collection process.
- You can retain more of your community funds and devote more of your budget towards projects and services which enhance your community.
We are also dedicated to providing board members and managers with the tools that they need to do their jobs well. Here’s what that means for you:
- You receive monthly reports, free of charge, setting forth the status of all legal matters which we are handling.
- You receive, on a monthly basis, a free accounting report providing a detailed itemization of the total monies received from specific homeowners involved in the collection process.
From amending documents to litigation, from covenant enforcement to assessment collections, North Law, P.C. knows community association law.
